The best of the modern kitchen novelty appliances!

November 09, 2012

Ok, most of us make toast or coffee more often than frozen desert. Nonetheless, this is the best! The stuff it makes is healthy & delicious, the process is simple enough for little kids to help, & it's rugged: undamaged after years of use. Perhaps most important, (because it's something that causes most similar products to never get used after the first few times): It cleans up quickly, easily, simply, & completely.

I fell in love with this machine

I don't throw my overly ripe bananas away now I freeze them for some delicious fat free ice cream. I have added powdered peanut butter to my bananas and had a great treat of peanut butter and banana ice cream without all the fat and calories.

Fun, Delicious, and Healthy

Normally I like gadgets that have virtual keyboards and retina displays. However, this is my favorite new gadget.

I have had this Yonanas 902 Ice Cream Treat Maker for a couple of weeks now. My freezer is stuffed full of frozen bananas because I afraid I might run out of bananas. The Yonanas is well packaged, but easy to get right out of the box and start using. The selling point for me was other reviewers that had written that it was easy to clean. Now that I have mine, I can reassure anyone considering a Yonanas that it is true. There are five large parts that disassemble very easily that are a breeze to clean. Yonanas does not have a large footprint. Its footprint is equal to that of my traditional blender. The only negative is that the machine is loud when in use, but no louder than my traditional blender, so it is not an issue for me.

I have been experimenting with various combinations of bananas and fruit. So far, my favorite is two bananas with a table spoon for chocolate PB2 sprinkled over it then mix it up really well. My second favorite is banana/strawberry and my third is banana/blueberry. In each case it is one banana and 3/4 cup of other fruit. Let your imagination run wild.

For sure, the bananas and any other fruit one will be using need to be frozen for at least two days.

There does seem to be a good bit of soft-serve fruit still in the machine when done. On the last batch, I take the machine apart and scrape out the residual fruit from the cone area and from the blade.

No regrets here and I plan to purchase a couple for Christmas gifts!

The best 50 dollars I've EVER spent

October 26, 2012

This product is amazing, the best 50 dollars I've EVER spent. I have a very strict diet with a lot of allergies and this allows me to eat delicious dessert like sweets. This product literally has changed my life just by allowing me to have a "ice cream". It's amazing how many different combinations there are!

The best small investment in a kitchen appliance

October 26, 2012

The best small investment in a kitchen appliance I have ever made. Very happy to be able to make ice cream like desserts without any dairy ingredients. It is easy & fun to use, and what a great way to get your daily fruit requirements. I am going to try and add frozen sweet potatoes to the bananas next, really like this machine!

Love, Love, Love, Love, Love the Yonana

October 26, 2012

It takes a little getting used to, but with my gluten intolerance AND Weight watchers diet, and my kids' other food allergies, this has been a Godsend. Fantastic product. Make sure you keep lots of frozen, overripe bananas in the freezer at all times because to get a bowl, you really need two bananas. I keep a chocolate bar around and drop it in sometimes and it chunks it up in different sizes for a special treat inside your Yonana dessert.

My meeting started raving about Yonanas

October 19, 2012

I'm currently attending Weight Watchers and the ladies in my meeting started raving about Yonanas - I had never heard of it and had no idea it existed, but they were so in love with it, I bought one. Now, I am in the Yonanas Cult, too. What an amazing machine! It's unbelievable that you can drop frozen fruit into a machine and walk away with a bowl of something that tastes decadent, like you're eating a giant bowl of peach or strawberry ice cream. But nope! It is in fact, JUST FRUIT. Healthy and wonderful. It's a little loud while in use, but the end result is worth 30 seconds of motor noises. We’re eating a lot more fruit in my family now. The best $50 bucks I've spent in ages.
